Rich is a Southerner, but we don't hold that against him. He started his culinary career in his home town of Ipswich at Hintlesham Hall.

Like a sponge Rich absorbed all that Hintlesham had to offer and once armed with a thorough grounding and decent skill set he headed North, to Rookery Hall Hotel, where all of our paths crossed!

Having progressed through the ranks to Senior Chef de partie Rich made the move to Crewe hall where he continued to develop until heading up the kitchen of their brasserie, after which he spent a few years on the 'gastro pub' scene so as to add a traditional more rustic string to his bow.

Rich is a keen snooker fan and after a misspent youth spends most of his spare time these days with his daughter Lilly.
